Re: BA to BPM?

I'm assuming that by BPM you mean: Business Process Management.  The answer is a definite 'Yes'.  Most Business Analysts must and do deal with the business processes and therefore many of the skills required for BPM are already in the BA's arsenal: business process modeling, business process analysis, etc.

The line between Business Analysis and Business Process Management is blurry at best.  You can't do business analysis without understanding processes.  Also, solutions that result from business analysis activities often involve changing of business processes.  I would say that BPM is more of a specialization of Business Analysis.
