Business Analyst Job Descriptions

We have had discussions internally at my company to try and come up with the core description of a Business Analyst's Job Duties and Responsibilities for a Business Analyst.  Would anyone mind sharing their JD or what you would think would be THE BA JOB DESCRIPTION from a BA profession standpoint?

Hi,

There is material on this site conected with that (e.g. here and here) .

The reality is that the most relevant JD will come from analysing how your company will measure the success of the BA function and then construct the JD to deliver that success. For this to work the measures must be specific, measureable, achievable, relevant and important to the company.

Re: Business Analyst Job Descriptions

Hi,

In a related question, if on the job description it lists:

Collaborate with business stakeholders and system users to identify, analyze, refine and document business requirements

We have been having discussions if the BA is an exempt or non-exempt position (hourly vs. salary) and I am interested in the community to see what they think regarding the BA position.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!
