BA Freelancing Advice

 Afternoon,

I am currently working full time, as a business analyst for a transport organisation in London. I am looking to start offering business analysis freelance/consultancy service to medium/small businesses, in order to gain extra experience.

Can anyone recommend any websites that I could use to advertise my skills and services? Or via any other methods?

any advice or assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks

 (1) To quickly get started, send your resume off to some agencies, someone who can get you in the consulting world to gain experience.

With some Consulting / Client-facing background in various cross-platform / technology environments ... and a list of successful projects and implementations to back your skills up, you have something to show perspective customers.

(2) You could go to corporate websites and see what they are looking for ... problem is, they usually want full-time, not consultants. I have sent an advertisement to companies offering contract services ... a couple of them responded.

(3) Build a Website for yourself and advertise your offerings. I have sent an advertisement to companies with a website link, offering contract services ... a couple of them responded.

However, I've been consulting for over 30 years ... most of my Gigs came from HeadHunters who email me to see if I'm available, several came from friends, advertisements.

Finally, Back in the early 80's when the PC first came out ... I bought an advertisement in the local newspaper offering to set up computers and installing their software. I got many calls for that and also for upgrading hardware. I also wrote business software for DOS using MBP COBOL and sold that at Software House ... which became CompUSA later on ... and they eliminated the homebrew software sales ... and are now out-of-business.

Good Luck

I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...

What is it? This hasn't been a call center job or a sales job as we all think. It is a mammoth profile, and firms are grappling to ge...
