Business Engineer vs. Business Analyst - whats the difference? 

I've been playing around with the idea of a new role that straddles the line between business and IT. A lot of the BA's that use Mendix are more of a business engineer than a business analyst - someone who has the technical skills and business knowledge to write the requirements and create the app. Obviously, this person is most suitable for an agile team. So here's my question: is a business analyst with an agile development tool like Mendix BAS really an engineer - and what's going to happen if and when this convergence happens?
