Task to prepare for interview presentation

Hi, I got an quick interview and I got a tast to do below presentation.

Any Ideas as How to approach approach with the presentation task.

Company background

ABC offers the world's leading range of certificates for learners and teachers of English - taken by over 3 million people in 130 countries.

ABC is part of the ABC Assessment Group, Europe’s largest assessment agency. ABC Assessment operates an internal IT division (‘IS’) as part of its corporate services function, who provide IT-related products and services.  IS is responsible for sourcing and managing developments, which are either undertaken internally or through outsource partners.

Scenario

For some time, ABC has been considering its strategies for strengthening links with its Centres, who retail and host its examinations internationally, to make life easier for them and to reduce internal exam processing time and cost.

The organisation is ambitious and wants to act quickly.  All the Directors are agreed that they need to develop a robust set of Centre-focussed web applications, and wish to undertake projects in the following areas.

1.  Electronic submission of examination entries by centres and electronic transmission of candidate results to centres;

2.  Online delivery of examinations;

3.  Electronic submission of speaking test marks (which are assessed at the Centre).

The Chief Executive has asked for assistance from the Programme Office to manage the delivery of the projects.

The Presentation Task

Choose one of the three projects listed above.  Prepare a 15 - 20 minute presentation covering the following areas:

  1. Show how you would approach the analysis tasks for your chosen project and how you might expect these to interact with the development lifecycle.

  1. Describe your approach to managing key stakeholders during the analysis process.

  1. Outline some of the functional and non-functional considerations for your chosen project.

Kind regards,

Srikanth

Re: Task to prepare for interview presentation

Hi every one..

I came up with an idea that and it left me some questions like ..

For first question in HOW I approach analysis tasks -do I need to include business case as well- As I understand that there are so many analysis tasks that a BA do  based on the project - should I focus on main tasks like as-is, to-be, process mapping, requirements, SRS, functional fit etc..?----A slide that shows WHAT analysis tasks and how it interact with development life cycle(Any more ideas..)

OR

Should I need to show the list of all the analysis tasks like as-is, to-be, requirements, Business case and how I do that and How these interact with development-If so can -I am trying to pick up an end how to document certain essential slides for interview presentation.(Any ideas)

OR

Already gave 3 possibilities and I select one project and give an idea to them HOW I take consider that project(project focussed documentation)-WHAT tasks I take and how I perform it-and show them with an idea -But it leaves me plenty of questions how I do that -(Any ideas)

I appreciate your comments-

Thank you, Srikanth

Hi Srikanth

I know your post is almost 10 years old but i too have an interview with the exact same presentation question.

I was wondering if you remember your presentation and have any advice on how I should approach it?

Thank you
