 I think Excel is the mostly used tool for business computing and analytics, as it has powerful and diversified functions.Even though there are many business analytical software available like esCalc,R,Tableau,etc., no one can replace it, due to its ease of use and functional diversity.

Excel is good for computing and analysis. Also, it helps me in checking my hand-worked calculation. It's good statistical package.
