Software for creating user guides

 Hi guys (and girls)

My company delivers a content management solution to a number of clients (5-10). The interface is similar for all clients, but there are a number of client specific customizations involved, which make our current documentation through individual PowerPoint user-guides a resource consuming and lengthy process.

I was wondering if any of you know of a good and flexible tool for creating and maintaining user guides?

Best regards,

Thomas

Re: Software for creating user guides

 Hi Thomas,

I can recommend this software: http://www.bluemangolearning.com/screensteps/

It is easy to use, cross platform, and designed to help you keep the documentation up to date.

Cheers,

pete

Re: Software for creating user guides

 Hi pete

Thanks for your answer. This seems like a really great tool. We are however looking more for something that will allow us to keep an accesible, online documentation with different user groups having access to different parts of the documentation etc. We are currently exporting and sending new versions to the clients constantly and it is very time consuming for us.

Anybody more with input? It is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Thomas
