Multi Channel programme - suggested approach and areas to consider?

I am going to work for a retailer who has a store and online presence but wants to launch a project to unite the experience (true multi [or omni] channel) and bring some development in house.

We will use an agile development approach but still capture requirements in use case format months ahead of the development.

Does anyone have any suggestions or key learnings on approaches or things to cover? For example, is it wise to do a detailed customer data analysis upfront before trying to unite the channels, what are the things to look out for, what mistakes do companies make etc. Any suggestions welcome!

Re: Multi Channel programme - suggested approach and areas to consider?

Hi,

I suggest you call a meeting with stakeholders to scope out what is involved in the project:

Business goal / outcomes

Business drivers

Stakeholders

High level requirements

Business processes involved

Systems involved

Issues, constraints, dependencies, etc

Even look at high level schedule / phases and indicative costs
