What's the BA work process in your company?

Usually, there are two departments cooperated for data analytics, the business department and IT department. While BA has to get the data and understand the business clearly before the business analytics, meanwhile, some BA may not professional enough on technology like programming, etc. How does a BA work in your enterprise?

Re: What's the BA work process in your company?

Hi There

I am on the business side. I only obtain the high level requirements from the business and from there i handle everything up to UAT testing. Currently , there is no BA framework in place. I am not involve in the conceptual phase of any project (the analysis piece) . This is done by the STRATEGIC group.

Any suggestions how can I be involve or gain some experience. I've approached my manager but I did not get a favourable response. thanks again for replying to my post.

Re: What's the BA work process in your company?

 Hi, Dee,

Thanks a lot for your reply, and I have two more questions, does the BA in your department have the IT experience like SQL, database, and many other complex IT knowledge?  and do you use general tools like R, esProc, SAS or some professional tools corresponding to special industries with industrial modeling?

Looking forward to your reply!
