How to get started?

Hi All,

I have spent 15+ years in Software development, Business analysis, Database designing and Reporting designing.

Power builder and Oracle have been the tools mainly used.

Still I am in software development, and would like to focus more on Data Analysis. If possible I would like to change my profession from Software development to Data Analysis.

Can anyone help me on this, showing a route map, if possible with details as under.

1. Building the concepts

2. Mastering the topics

3. To keep practising

4. Keep in touch with forums

5. Keep trying a Job

I am an under graduate (Bsc Physics) with Diploma in Computer Applications.

Thanks in advance.
