Career Change to Business Analyst

Hi

I have a degree in IT and 10 years experience of running my own IT consultancy. I gave up the business to start a family but continued to work from home as a software developer. Iam now looking at changing careers and becoming a business analyst, I have 2-3 years until I re-enter the workplace fulltime and was considering doing an MBA. This however is a very expensive route and wondered if there were any other alternatives?

I would strongly recommend that you don't pay for a MBA - although it may be useful it is not directly relevant.
