I got a job as a business requirement manger

I thank you all for your support and advice. I also find the interview questions very helpful and I'm telling you now that I just secure a job as a business requirement manager. My role will be to capture high level business requirement and manage the requirement gathered using doors. Does anybody have any materials I can read to jumpstart my expertise in doors? Please I'll appreciate your invaluable advice.

Re: I got a job as a business requirement manger

Hi Martin

Congratulations !!

I am also trying to get a job as Business Analyst since past 6 months and still not able to get that. I got the same response as you did that you are good but we found someone else who is more experienced than you. Can you please let me know how did you manage to get the job and also if you let me know the inteview questions which they asked you. I think it will help me more .

Thanks

It wasn't really exciting to be rejected because I've been in those shoes before. All I did was try and understand the job specifications very well, tried to put it in real life situation and came out with several examples in case I find myself in a situation like that later in life. I also read the interview questions at mordern analyst career link, that actually gave me an overview of what might be asked from me. I tried to have several other scenarios in my head so as to give the interviewers clues that I have the necessary skills and experience. I made sure I understand and know every claims in my CV and when they came across them I had something to say. Then I understand how to work as a consultant, Any difficult questions I ask like 3-5 different questions to drill answers or clues from the interviews without knowing. That's what I think you'll need as a business analyst too. Lastly, I prayed for favour from God.

Thank you for sharing with us the good news.  Keep us updated on how you're doing in your new role.

As far as DOORS goes, I have not seen any materials out there.  I do know that Telelogic has a knowledge base as well as a number of downloads and white papers which are available to licensed users.  You might want to ask your employer and see if they can get you access to any of those materials.

I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
