Hi,

I have now published 2 self study manuals aimed at helping you pass the ISEB Certificates in Requirements Engineering and Modelling Business Processes. They can be found at the smart-BA book store.

The packs aim to give you only what you need to know to pass the ISEB Certificates together with exam style revision questions and a mock exam. Each pack has been written by a Business Analyst for Business Analysts who already know how to do the job and now they want to pass the exam.

Each pack is presented in sections reflecting the order of the syllabus for the ISEB certificate.

Each section of the pack comprises:

- key points as an aide-memoire

- details that expand on the key points

- exam style revision question

- model answer

The last section is about maximising your exam marks and is followed by a full mock exam with model answers. As the actual exam you is an 'open book' exam you can take this book in with you.
 

Although the packs are aimed at the ISEB certificates, there is a lot of material in them for anyone interested in very straight forward "how to" manuals for doing the 2 core activities of business analysis: engieneering requirements and modelling business processes.

Many thanks for your kind comments - very much appreciated!

For those reading these posts that don't know, I have been ordered by BCS/ISEB to remove references to ISEB from the manuals and so they are being re-written to reflect that. They still do what they set out to do though: give a BA enough information to pass the ISEB Certificates in Requirements Engineering and Modelling Business Process with some ISEB exam style revision questions and a full mock exam together with model answers. Obviously they are not endorsed by BCS/ISEB in any way.

The manuals are due to be re-released this week but only in electronic format to begin with (but at least that will be even cheaper!) and will only be available direct from my website until I can complete the Lulu publishing process.

Funnily enough the rewritten manuals are back at www.lulu.com/smartba as of this morning but please note that I have only just sent copies to BCS/ISEB and if they still object again they may need yet more revisions!
