 No offence to your company.

But probably the job description scared many qualified applicants.

Regards.

Re: Job Ads Are Looking More And More For a Jack-Of-All-Trades

Yes, companies these days are seeking jack of all trades because tehy want more profit with less expenditure. If only one employee can fulfill the criteria then it is better to hire only that one person for some raised emoluments rather than hiring more than one person. But this does not mean that one has to become a jack of all trades and only then start searching for a job. Start from the basics, each day brings a new challenge and makes you learn something new. Learn from everything that comes your way and one day a jack of all trades is made who can beat anybody.

I guess the IT Term for "Jack-Of-All-Trades" is:

Wearing Multiple-Hats

Wearing Cross-Functional Hats

etc.

My current employer told me the same during my interview.. "As a start-up company, you might be wearing multiple hats." Apparently, I am still the only BA in our company and I'm doing some little sales tasks (that are not much of problem to me)
