Tool to Document a Workflow Without GUI

Hi Folks,

I am get onboard a new project in my organization wherein we are starting to build a business model which does not use any GUI. More of an interface engine.

Usually, what we have been doing so far is, use Word and UML tools like Visio to explain workflows.

This time around, the management wants us to try something new.

So my question to you guys would be:

What are other tools (other than Word and UML) which I can use to explain a business model which does not have a GUI?

I am stressing on the fact that it does not have a GUI because, most of the BA tools I see are for UI prototyping.

Please share your expertise on this one. I would really appreciate that.

Thanks

Badri

 Hi Badri,

Not quite sure what you mean. Perhaps you are specifying a new system that will not have a user interface? Perhaps its a manual system then?

Anyway. check out Enterprise Architect from www.sparxsystems.com. Good all round and relatively cheap tool for BAs and others.
