Social Networking Functional Spec

Hi

I am working on functional specs for widgets using the various social networking platforms (open social, FBML, et al).  Is anyone currently working on anything similar that they would be willing to share resources on, thinks like best practices, et al?

thanks

Wade

Hi Wade,

This sounds like a fun project! While I don't have prior experience with social networking platforms I would assume that you should be able to use a standard functional spec for these widgets.

You might have to consider some key things such as:

  • do the widgets have a UI component,
  • do the widgets have a state (aka config file/db),
  • specific design decisions/design for interfacing with the various platforms (services based vs. html based vs. etc.)

Let us know what you come up with!

Sincerely,

- Adrian
