Missed requirements
Hi,

Just before getting the formal approval on Requirement Documents, if we realize that we missed few requirements, how should one go about it?

 - Should we just start working on those requirements and add those in the final Requirement doc before getting the approval? This will definitely require an intimation to PM and other stakeholders about delay in the requirements approval and adding it as a risk.

- OR should we get the approval on already prepared Req Doc and then work on the missing requirements? If we go this route, should this require a change control as we missed those requirements initially?

 OR any other better way?

Thanks!!

Dappy

Re: Missed requirements

I've seen them get the missed Requirements and add them into the Requirement Docs Before getting them approved.

I've also seen them start on the original project and have a "GAPS" project to add the missing requirements ... but that could be a big problem if the missed requirements has some big Impact on everything else ... like having to modify a database table.

I'd probably talk to the PM and explain that some new requirements came up ... what does he want to do?
