New to BA....

I also am new to this role.  I work in servicing( we buy mortgage loans from banks and service them).  I am new and to be honest confused how this role works.  Not sure what my day to day role is.  Do I find thing to improve which saves time for whomever is doing the task?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Re: New to BA....

Like Nit said start reading it's really the only way to learn what the role means.  However.......  BA means a lot of different things for a lot of different companies.  I've seen BA's literally do analysis on pricing for a procurement team, looking at the delta between the forecasted price and the actual.  I've seen BA's programming full stack end to end solutions.  Then of course you have eliciting requirements from lazy business users.
