Absolutely NOT - most BAs don't need to know how to program!  There are some Business Analysts (specifically Systems Analysts) who will benefit from having a background/understanding of programming.

I do not understand why HR? or whoever put this to job requerements.

Even today I saw ad for BA with DBA experience and deployment.

Just wonder what they will need else...

So upset...
