Aspiring BA

Hi! I am new to this forum. I am planning to go back to IT work next year and I will be aiming on landing on a Business Analyst position. I used to be an Applications Developer but I believe being a BA will be more challenging. I am currently working on an Inventory/POS web-based application for our own drugstore. As I go through the development, I want to inject some formal BA work to also prepare myself for my BA job quest. In this forum, I want to explore techniques on how to come up and communicate business requirements via documentation. As goal, I want to achieve the following: (1) learn the current practice and standards on Business analysis; (2) have knowledge on the best tools available in the market to achieve a BA task and lastly, establish a set of documentation templates required for a web application (as this is my current focus).

Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
