Hello Adrain and Forum team
I have recently joined the forum and would be interested in participating in it. I am not a Business Analyst but aspiring to be one. I have a IT background and have tried to do a lot of reading for the past few months. I went through the RolePlay : ATM Bank example and found it very interesting and informative.
Adrain, you have mentioned that if anybody would be interested in pursuing it further and creating use case models , you will help us with ur follow ups.
I would be interested in it and would like to pursue it further. Taking all the inputs which u guys have given , I would like to create a context diagram and show the high level design ie goals and boundaries of the project. Then I would like to create use case diagram with detailed use case sepecifications covering the following areas: Actors, pre-conditions, post-conditions, basic-flow, alternative flows, exceptions, use case relationships, special requirements, like the business rules etc. And if there is a need of an activity diagram or any other diagram , I would like to support the requrements with it.
Let me know if you are interested . Once I get a green signal from your side, I will start on the project.
Thanks a Lot :- Jay
Hi Jay,
First of all, welcome to the Modern Analyst community!
And, of course, I would be more than happy to continue the role play on this example/project. What you should do is begin with the most recent version of the requirements which were created as part of the Requirements Role-play: Bank ATM Example thread.
You should start a new thread and give it a new title such as: "Context Diagram: Bank ATM Example" and then, in the first post, put a link back to the original thread so all folks can follow it in the future.
Once we finish the context diagram we can move to the use case model with a new thread: "Use Case Model: Bank ATM Example". And if you still have the stamina after that I don't mind taking this further to systems specifications/design.
