Intro and seeking help.

I'm currently working on my bachelors and I've decided the career end goal is to be a business analyst, I'm hoping you guys can help me out in this. I have been trying to decide between a degree in business admin. or human resources. From the stuff I have read it looks like admin is the prefered way to go since it's more general. Is this correct? Also I need help picking out my minor, I was considering human resources ( if I go with admin), international business, supply chain managment and possibly finance. Do any of these make more sense then the others?

A little background on my self. I was a certified mechanic for a few years then decided to go back to school. I have since been working as an autocad drafter for a survey company so needless to say I have minimum business experience. I was hoping to get a job as an entry level analyst while finishing school (I go at night). What type of jobs should I be looking for, and am I even qualified for anything? I do have an associates but it is in general studies.

I will gladly take any help and advice you all can share/give.

Re: Intro and seeking help.

Given what you've said go for the generalist business degree and do as many IT courses as you can fit into it.  The reason for this is the dependence of modern enterprises on their IT.  It's all about knowing your tools and how they best suit particular problems.
