Question in practical applying of BA process

Hi all, I hope that everyone is doing OK.

I am senior business analyst in a startup company. Currently for some special circumstances I found myself in the responsibility position for a big project and our team leader is not available any more.

We just got the approval on our proposal this Sunday. So I got the green light to start on my analysis plan.

I got the knowledge on how to do that, but I don't know if I am going on the right direction.

My question is, in such case like mine. A new project with no analysis plan yet. What are the practical steps should I take? What are my first moves?

Thank you
