Non Functional Requirements

Hello Community,

Currently I am working on Phase 2 of a Project which is intergration of 3 different website into one. It also includes back end integration.

This web site will be used by Job Seekers and Job Posters for job search and job posting respectively.

I joined this project midway when Phase I was almost complete. Phase I was related to front end look and feel.

There was no proper documentation for Phase I. I have a Mini Charter but no scope document. And the requirements given by the Business for Phase 2 does not match the Charter.

I had one session with business people to understand the requirements.

But I have a question. How can I get Non-functional Requirements. I asked Business people about their expectation related to performance and website usage but they did not have any clue abt it.

I have a deadline to complete BRD for Phase 2 but dont know how to proceed with the Non-Functional requirenets.

looking for some expert advise.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Non Functional Requirements

We typically think about volume of users that they expect, then based on that from a user experience point of view what kind of response is ok. You can find standard metrics for how long people are willing to wait before they give up.
