I agree with Chris. I also came from a development background and have succeeded in business analysis... and you can too! Actually, I've found developers to become great BAs.

Laura Brandenburg at http://www.bridging-the-gap.com/ does a great job with helping professionals like yourself transition. You should give her a shout!

 

And Mark, because of your experience, you could be a great advisor to transitioning folks but because of how negative you come across, your message isn't being well received or delivered. I am sorry to say but after looking at your discouraging messages to other similar forum posts, I am going ask that Modern Analyst bans you from posting messages on other's forums.
