What are the essentials skills a Junior business analyst should develop?  

Hello people....

Im working as a Junior Business Analyst in software company.

I gather and elicit requirements, document them and help the developers in solving mid development problems,.

I would like to know the essentials skills a business analyst must develop during this intial phase....

that's quite a big question. I'd like to ask two more questions to give a more focussed answer.

Firstly, what do you mean by mid development problems and could you provide a brief example of the sort of challenge you face?

Secondly, do you know how you want to develop professionally? for example, what would you like to be doing 5 years from now (assuming sipping a cocktail on the beach is out of the question)?
