New Member Announcement

My name is Tom Miller. I have been wondering all over the Web looking for BA forums that are not buried in spam like several on Yahoo seem to be.

I am not actually a BA, but might qualify as a wannabe. As a career-re-changer I am trying to get back into programming after decades of mostly not doing it. And since I was, at best, an adequate programmer (back in the days of procedural languages) I am looking at leveraging my experience to work further forward in the chain of IT solutions.

I started the process by attending a PMP/Capm review at the Kansas City (USA) Chapter of the PMI. I am currently renewing my acquaintance with SAS base while I study C# Asp .Net. I am hoping to use these to move out of my current blue collar job and back into an office. I work maybe 50-60 hours a week in a road-warrior type job.  This makes it hard to approach my study and programming with an unfatigued mind.

My efforts include: www.ChatNFiles.com, bccs.chatnfiles.com (my dba business website) and profiles on things like www.linkedin.com/in/tlgalenson I expect to be stumbling around both the specific knowledge areas and the jobs forums.

Thank you for your attention.

Tom Miller, Mcp, Mos, A+, CNA 5.1 plus a raft of www.Brainbench.com certs.

As Business Analysts in Agile teams, we often hear about Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD). But beyond the buzzwords, these two concepts are powerful tools to drive clarity, consistency, and quality in our work. Definition of Ready ensures a user story is truly ready for development. It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
