Reporting Tools

Hi,

This might be out of context since ,,it is a BA forum, but still wanted to throw the question to get cleared.

I am just curious if learning reporting tools such as Cognos or Crystal Report would be a plus point for a business analyst.. I know there are jobs specifically for reports generators who needs to have extensive database knowledge or atleast advanced sql scripts knowledge .But ,is there any good online source to learn about it or any reliable training providers?

Thanks,

shekhar
