SAP (OR ANY ERP SOFTWARE)

Do any BA's out there have roles as Project Manager's or Implementation specialists? I'm from the PM background but am looking to get into the BA role and just trying to grasp what skills of mine will crossover and what skills won't.

Do BA's work in this role as a consultant for ERP software implementation for company's? Am I grasping at straws here?

Thanks and I love this forum.

 Hi ,

Yes tge BA can be into implementation if he has Technical background.

P.S--What is the job description of CONSULTANT in your company. Different companies have different names assigned to the profile but they work as BA

Re: SAP (OR ANY ERP SOFTWARE)

Hi DataFriend,

Yes I know of individuals who have become BAs from either role. Many PM skills cross over, in particular planning for activities and soft skills for elicitation and people management.

There are usually BAs on ERP implementations - I've never seen an ERP be deployed out of the box. Getting the requirements to customize the solution is pretty typical.

In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
