Checking requirements via Modelling

I wonder if anyone could suggest a type of process modelling to use for checking requirements. We already have some requirements for another project which I think we can re-use but am concerned that my SMEs are only thinking about whats already written and not considering other aspects.  Does anyone have suggestions for what to use to help them consider the other requirements.

Many thanks,
