Business Analysis in BI and Data warehouse project

Hi,

have just recently finished my first course in BA and are very interested to continue redirecting my profile towards this. In my consultant profile I have mostly development within BI such as warehouse- and reportdevelopment. I tried to find some information in the forum about requirements in data warehouse project but couldn't find much.

Surley there must be many of you who have encountered, and dealt with, the differences in BA on a data warehouse and traditional IT projects?

In simple, this is how i see the process:

- study the project req, ER models etc.
- work with user stories (not use cases), document any information that comes up during these workshops
- translate the user stories to Bus Matrix (business processes and dimensions)
- establish relations 1..1, 1..*, *..* etc in a seperate modelling session
- create star schemas from the bus matrix (busines processes = facttables)
keys, changning dimension types, dimensionattributes and facts added.

- continously find the non-functional and business req and talk to other second-level parties

Any comments, ideas, experiences?

Thanks!

p.s Sorry about any language errors :)
