how to get my 1st BA job

Hi,

I am a software engineer, with one year work experience with Infosys Technologies in India. I am now looking at business analyst position. I was convinced to take up a course and then apply for BA jobs. But the problem is , I hardly find any online courses. Does anyone have any idea about the Villanova university "Master in Business Analyst " program. Will it be worth taking this course and then applying for jobs. I am currently not employed as i recentle relocated to US with my family and am really finding it difficult to apply for entry level BA jobs without experience.

Re: how to get my 1st BA job

Hi Rupaguru

Sorry i havent heard of the course you mentioned (I'm in the UK) so i cannot comment on it however i am a BA/BSA with no formal training to speak of. I was lucky and fell into a BSA role at a previous company and have managed to convince people i can do the job. If you really cant tailor you CV to make you sound like a BA and at least get you into a few interviews then im afraid the only way in will be to start right at the bottom or to do a few courses.

Good luck

Re: how to get my 1st BA job

Hi Rupaguru,

I have heard of vilanova university; and it has good credentials well for more you can surely contact them. I would suggest you to take the b2t training courses; and as mentioned in an earlier reply will put you in the interview seat.

Regards

It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
