I am new to BA, and these forums - and I value this dialogue - I'm learning!

From my perspective in dealing with change and stakeholder engagement at a number of levels - it is quite important to include folks involved throughout the process, valuing their contribution and reassuring them along the way. I like the reference to a different perspective that the IT folks have vs. the business folks - important to keep in mind, and to reinforce to all, that the reason we're trying to do "X" or "Y", is to improve the company's bottom line, focus on ROI - a galvanizing focus that will benefit both IT and business folks alike.
