someone please help me

I join this site because I just started my career as a business analyst, I have worked at different companies as a project coordinator and I decided to switch to business analysis since it's what I'd wanted to do. I enjoy being in control, solving problems and facing challenges. I have taken up several texts and tutorials. I have competences in major modelling tools and various techniques.

I have however been trying to get job as a business analyst for the past 3 months, but all efforts proved abbortive. I kept receiving response like: You're a brilliant chap but we found a suitable candidate, Your approach is not strong enough, and so on. I'm a bit confused but I'm not giving up at all. I must win.

I found out that I need live experience to be able to convince employers that I can perform excellently in any situation. I'm a confident guy and I need assistance to be able to pass interview. It's getting frustrating. Someone please help me.

how to get that first johb as a BA

Hi Akin (?)

Getting the first BA job is never easy; it's a complex and sophisticated role, a as you will have read in these forums, it's also an amorphous role.

Asking your question here is a good idea, but I think it's the other people who have recently become BA's who are best able to inform you.

From my perspective I say ersistance and asking fo detailed and direct honest feedback from the recruiters is the best first step.

Anyone else have any advice?

Re: how to get that first johb as a BA

Hi Akin,

I also agree with craig as getting first BA job is never easy, due to is role and differentiated resposibilities accross the industry it has.

I also enter in this profession 2 years ago after passing my masters, I don't know about the situation of BA openings in ur country, but here

in India the opportunity is scanty. I tried for 3-4 months to get a breakthrough but as I was freshers no body entertained me. At last I kept

my patience and got some exposures on analytical skills, application development process through training in real enviroment,

Active discussion participations and SAD. For getting first job as BA, I was nearly questioned and interviewed (written and mock) for 6 hours

at a strech and I have done it. So what can I say that don't loose heart if u have strong desire u will get it.

Kumar Rohit

As Business Analysts in Agile teams, we often hear about Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD). But beyond the buzzwords, these two concepts are powerful tools to drive clarity, consistency, and quality in our work. Definition of Ready ensures a user story is truly ready for development. It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
