Intro - hi to all

I am pleased to have found this site.  I provide consulting services to assist businesses with workflow,  people oriented processes, process discovery, the integration of business rules and decision management within process management frameworks.

Am working on a framework which could be disruptive, but I beleive in it anyway. It goes like this:

SOA x BPM x EDM = ROI mulitplyer, where EDM refers to Enterprise Decision Management. I also take that further to believe that the implementation of this framework enables compliance and governance, as well as improvement of productivity and profitability, by extending the value of your existing systems and applications, once these have been service enabled through this framework.

I look forward to participating and offer my knowledge to others in these forums.

Hello and welcome,

I look forward to reading more of your thought in these forums.

If you don't mind sharing a little more detail are your ROI multiplyer, i.e., how do you measure each variable in the equation.  Perhaps it would be best to share this under a new thread in the General forum category.

Re: Intro - hi to all

Thanks for the welcome Chris,

I am fairly new at this type of forum so will give it a try, and develop some dialogue on the General forum. I have writen some articles around this and it is quite a mouthful, so I guess it is a matter of taking each one of the subjects at a time to develop the whole story.

For me the whole life-cycle starts with Process Discovery and Documentation and after a long search and research I came accross this tool, which makes it really simple to begin somewhere. The tool does not fulfill all areas and certainly is not an analysis tool, however a good BA could perform collaborative analysis using this just to bring the awareness of managers to a pount where they see their businesses as a collection of "value streams" created out of "processes" which drive these value streams.

Having said this I will go to the General forum and start a thread in this regard and attempt to take it from there.

Nigel

As Business Analysts in Agile teams, we often hear about Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD). But beyond the buzzwords, these two concepts are powerful tools to drive clarity, consistency, and quality in our work. Definition of Ready ensures a user story is truly ready for development. It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
