Business Analyst/Product Owner Job in Pittsburgh, PA

General Responsibilities
• Partner with both internal and external (i.e. client) users, business/technical stakeholders and industry experts to identify and document requirements (functional and non-functional) and processes that support overall business goals and objectives
• Work closely with product owners and technical leads to understand product specifics.
• Contribute to an environment of cross-functional teamwork within the organization's agile-based project lifecycle.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders (management, customers, or end users) and the software development or information technology teams.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve project goals and provide continued best practice support to leaders to ensure successful adoption of the ThoroughCare applications/features
• Translate business requirements into user stories for development teams, using mockups/prototypes, process models/diagrams, data models and other documentation where applicable to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success.
• Demonstrate leadership in understanding and defining business systems requirements, project objectives, and deliverables.
• Support creation of user guides/tutorials to educate customer base on new features and/or enhancements
• Participate in and/or lead the user acceptance testing and facilitate the feedback to Development Team as part of the Agile development processes
• Assist in and/or lead retrospectives to evaluate the success of the solutions delivered and the business stakeholder’s perspective of his/her experience within the project
• Perform continued evaluations of end users system adoption and work with end users to identify opportunities for business process improvements
• Perform other duties as requested and assigned

• Ability to flourish under pressure and get the job done with attention to detail and within deadlines
• Ability to influence decision making and communicate ideas to cross functional teams and all levels of management
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with a service-oriented attitude in a team environment. Includes interaction with internal staff as well as customer staff members and the ability to effectively convey computing concepts to non-technical staff.
• College degree or equivalent work experience required. BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management or a related field recommended; Masters Degree preferred.
• Must have excellent knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio or equivalent software
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical, requirements management and decision-making skills. Experience working in the healthcare management industry or within a software company providing solutions to healthcare clients a plus
• Software testing experience preferred.
• Experience with issue tracking/project management tools (e.g. Jira) a plus
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) a plus but NOT required.
• Travel to client sites may be required
• Understanding and experience with common software development life cycle methodologies, including waterfall and Agile models (Agile strongly preferred)
