Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)

Hi,

I have a question for experienced BAs as I am planning to move into this profile.

I am currently working in an agile project and working developer/BA . I would like to however completely move into BA role.

Can anyone guide on which certification would be better for a starter, ECBA or AAC?

Re: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)

I would suggest doing the following:
1) Take the ECBA first

2) Look at taking Scrum Master Training to make help you understand Scrum, which is the most popular framework for agile. I recommend the PSM-I from Scrum.org as it's more comprehensive and requires more thinking and consideration about Scrum and how it applies in different situations, so it will require you to do more work to pass it.  The certification isn't the benefit, it's the learning you do as preparation..

Use forums like this to test your ideas. One of the things that helped me the most was engaging with other BAs and Scrum Masters to learn from their experiences and to challenge my own thinking.

Hope that helps
