Fraustrated from job, guidance required

HELLO,

In college days, i used to enjoy to create the logic of the questions in programming languages subjects but i didn't like the writing code , I went for PGDAC frm C-DAC,ACTS,PUNE where I was taught all programming languages i.e. c,c++,xml,.NET, JAVA. Now I have been working as a software programmer in an IT company for past 8 months, but I do not like the nature of work at all. Before getting into IT Industry, I didn't know anything about what all profiles exist in IT etc. as there was no elder in my contact who belongs to IT. I am getting fraustrated day by day. I like to socialise.

I WILL HIGHLY APPRECIATE IF SOMEBODY COULD KINDLY GUIDE ME. I have done BCA,PGDAC,MCA (Correspondence).

I guess you must be doing Heads-Down programming ... limited interaction with others.

You might see how you can get more involved with the project ... Gathering Requirements, writing specs for a program, training people on a new system, work with users on testing, etc.

There are Lots of project activities that you might be able to do ... Ask and you might Receive.

Re: Fraustrated from job, guidance required

Some of the developers who get bored with coding have chosen the following path :

1. Business analysis

2. Project Management

it seems like with your experience (8 months only) you can try Business Analysis and then sloly start managing projects at a smaller level and then get to become a project manager

Good luck with your career

Re: Fraustrated from job, guidance required

Hi,

Reason for getting frustrated might be that you are focussing more on negative sides of the job. Try to look for positive points(write down if possible)

What is the assurance that once you change job, you will not get frustrated in that role.

Good option for you to get some experience in IT industry, do your MBA and then go to Business Develpoment or Marketing role.

Suggesting this as you said : You like socilizing.

All the best
