Career & course advice

  Greetings everyone,

Thanks for the wonderful forums. I think this will be a rich resource for a beginner like myself.

I developed an interest in the field of business analysis not very long ago and I am still on the phase of fimiliarizing myself with the issues and trends of the field.

I am currently finishing M.S. in Strategic Communication/Marketing with emphasis on New Media (search engine/social media optimization). I am planning to take a Certificate in Business Analysis right after my graduation, below I will list the certificate courses so you have a good understanding of the situation:

 Technical Communications
  Software Engineering
  Systems Analysis and Design Tools
Software Process Management OR   Software Project Management
 Strategic Information Systems
 Enterprise Architecture and Development

I have MCSE2000 that I didn't update. No programming background, however very good knowledge of I.T. dynamics.

Q- Would you encourage this step I.e. taking this course and start a career as a business analysist with Mass Media background

Q-  Would my background in media be a plus in this filed, if yes please elaborate on where and why.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
