Hi,
I have 5 years of work experience with Fidelity Investments Management. I started with operations and learned in and out of financial products offered to uk investors. Learned about the business, financial data and mutual fund industry. After three years i moved to IT as a web analyst. It was a third party data support role where i managed end to end releases by coordinating between business, dev and testing. Learned about fidelity online tool and data flow architecture. Recently i have become Business analyst.
Now from long term perspective i am thinking of adding relevant qualifications to my resume. I have three options - MSC IT, CFA/IMC, or both. I dont have any exposure to IT. However I know fidelity internal systems. But not aware of industry followed IT standards and terms. That is why narrowed down to above choices of courses. I am actually a BA who move from business side to this role. Therefore please suggest what skillset i should add to my profile. Should i dig deeper down in financial certifications or should go for MSC information technology course to add technical skills (caveat: I wont get development exp with the course, just general understanding). For better acceptablity in market what else do u think would be beneficial.
Thanks
Shalabh
