Hi All
I've got a fairly good background in infrastructure and application projects i.e. software BA work but haven't done much process work. I've done a postgrad paper that used lean 6 sigma and wanted to do a bit more training in this area.
This looks perfect: http://www.butrain.com/process-management-training-courses/certificate-program.asp but it's not offered online. Does anybody know of a similar online course offered by an accredited University.
Ok well if that's not available does anyone know a good practical online lean six sigma course - with plenty of hands on and preferably not too statistically or manufacturing biased. Manufacturing is pretty light in my state and statistics are only useful if the data is there to start with which unfortunately for an IT BA doesn't seem to often be the case.
Apparently Six Sigma has two branches. 1) Process improvment. 2) Process Design. There are at least 2 Business Process Managment Associations out there offering coursework that might be more specific to I.T. but remember Business Analysis doesn't have to be I.T. Oriented.
There are several training companies that offer online six sigmal courses (see google).
