New BABOK training content added
Modified By Brian Hunt on 9/9/2010 5:54:49 AM)

I've just added an updated copy of my BABOK V2.0 Knowledge Areas & Techniques to my website.  Please go to www.brianhunt.co.uk and click on the CBAP tab to download it.  You will also see a set mind maps which I have created to show the applicable techniques against each of the six knowledge areas.  These are intended to help practising business analysts and those studying for the CBAP qualification.

I'm also continuing to add CBAP content to my blog at http://cbap.posterous.com/

I've found and fixed a corrupt file on that page.   Please revisit and help yourself to free CBAP study materials

Hi BrianTH,

I like the way information is organised in your diagrams. Can tell me what sought of software you use to come up with such beautiful diagrams.

If you don't mind, can you also give us an insight into how your thought process works when doing such diagrams. (I mean to ask if you do it on paper first and then in the software, do you make drafts, if so how many etc)

I will definitely spread the word about your site.

Thank you for sharing them at the least possible price :)

Regards,

Inka

Update: I started reading your blog and I think its a step-by-step guide for CBAP certification. It has everything from Requirements of the exam to the process of how to have a go , the tools needed and the result. You make it look simple. Great Blog

Re: New BABOK training content added

 Hi Inka

Thanks for your comments and I'm glad that you find the blog useful.

I used Mindjet Mindmanager to create the BABOK V2knowledge_areas_and_competences_mindjet_player.pdf mindjet player file and used MindNode Pro (a mac programme) to create the mindmaps under the CBAP tag of my website brianhunt.co.uk

I often create maps directly into the software - it's easier to rearrange them like that.  However, when I'm studying e.g. BABOK, I use a double page (A3 size) pad and coloured pens as I then find it easier to retain the knowledge.  Generally, if I'm learning or researching, I'll start with paper and pens - when I know where I'm going (i.e I can 'see' the structure) I then move to electronic mind mapping.

Good luck with your study!
