I want to get to know more of the Retail Domain vertical from a Business Analyst point of view. Can anyone suggest me some documents, blogs, I can read to gather that knowledge.
Want to start from scratch.
Basically, I want to understand what does a BA in the retail domain need to know.

Well you need to know the business: from sourcing to selling stock(supplychain); merchandising and promotions (lifecycles); Inventory (the stuff you sell); Business Modelling (what sells/dont sell) etc.
So yeah! You need to understand a lot. The best policy is start somewhere - Supply chain might be a good start, or Inventory! The key thing is start somewhere and enjoy!

Maybe go and investigate the retail business model. And are you talking online or retail? Are you talking chain store, franchise or small biz?

there are a lot of stuff to know and is also important to know the specific activity because the approach and strategy is different. You can check on internet and if there are any magazines. Could you provide us more detail?
