You've Asked, We've Listened. More great content for you.

An early heads up to everybody...ModernAnalyst.com is working on more great content but we need your feedback.  We are working on creating a few Industry Domain Briefs or Industry Overview documents.  These will be available to our community members as a tool to help  business analysts who are new to an industry understand the most important aspects about the industry; the key processes, the main inputs, the main output, the products or services they provide, etc.  The goal is to help analyst hit the ground running so to speak.

The first couple will be on the Mortgage Banking and Healthcare industries, but we will be creating others as well.  If you have a preference for other industries, state so now.  It will help us prioritize work.  I will be posting a detailed outline for the Mortgage Banking industry in about a week, so if you have experience in this area, please provide your feedback to ensure this content is the best that it can be.

Re: You've Asked, We've Listened. More great content for you.

Hi everyone, so I thought I would be starting with the Mortgage Industry, but it looks like the Healthcare Industry is a bit quicker out of the gates.  Instead of putting an overwhelmingly large outline here and asking for comments, I thought that I would start with a couple of key questions for our community members with Healthcare experience.

  1. What would you say are the top healthcare processes that a newbie should know about
  2. Are there key documents produced by these processes that a newbie should learn about
  3. What are some of the title/role names for analysts in the healthcare industry.

Thanks.  Your comments are invaluable!

Nowadays, companies like Audi and HSBC, use IT systems in everything they do. Does that make them to be IT companies rather than banks? Most would probably agree that HSBC is a bank, just as Audi is a car manufacturer. But what about digital banks such as Chime or companies offering digital products? In digital companies, most of the employees work...
