Hi,
I have looked at a couple products mentioned in this forum but I was just wondering if there were any new ones that people know of. I have tried the following
EdgeRM
Lighthouse
OSRMT - Cant download a full copy and its not being developed/supported anymore)
Getting a trial version of CaseSpec - so will evaluate that
But other than the above, are there any other ones I should be looking at?
Thanks,
Greetings Tank,
Looks like you having "fun" with these products. Check out http://www.volere.co.uk/tools.htm they've summarised the features of a lot of tools. Perhaps you could ad to the list.
If you find new ones, post the evaluations on this site. Now that would be excellent!
warm regards,
K
Well, I think that I have decided to go with Enterprise Architect from http://www.sparxsystems.com.au.
Seems to be quite powerful if not a little intimidating.
Tank,
EA is a good tool. I've used it now for a few years. Its a relative inexpensive way to introduce companies to a tool that does BPMN and UML 2 quite effectively. I've written one or two templates to create word documents as well as tagged values to create stereotypes. I found importing and exporrting XMI files quite a good means to manage a team of people working on various parts of the system and then storing everything in a central repository.
It also has a good way of connecting declarative requirements to usecases.
All the best.

Been using them for a couple of years. Its model based with all the sharing stuff built in. It allows you to take a process based approach which I really like and have been using successfully.
I think its way better than EA but that's just my opinion.
