Application to substitute for Documentation

Please help :

I have around a 1000 use cases (in a Word Doc) that I have documented in a format that is slighty off from the standard. I am looking for an application where I can define my own Metadata for a use case and have the use cases stored as individual "objects" within the application rather than pages in a Word doc. This is required so that the use cases are stored securely in a central repository and can be collaborated on in order to generate procedures and test cases.....

The application should be web - i.e. browser based (but not cloud).

Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Andrew,

Check out Enterprise Architect at www.sparxsystems.com. Its cheap and very comprehensive. There are various licensing options depending on what your needs are.

Re: Application to substitute for Documentation

Yes I have - on and off for about 4 years. Check out the white papers and help pages. It does cover a lot but then that's why its good value. I only use a small part myself.

Basically its a tool to use to help you model things. So you need to know what you want to do before you go there.
