Best BA blog

Okay, I am wanting to know what good BA blogs are out there, and in particular the best posts.

Anyone feel like helping out with a cut and paste answer?

Of course, the best blog for business systems analysts is Random Thoughts of an Analysis Manager.  Ok, maybe for managers of business analysts.  It's the only blog out there that I've seen which deals with the issues and challenges faced by managers in charge of business systems analysts.  While I don't post every week I try to make the posts relevant and substantive.  I have a long list of topics that I want to write about - just need to find the time.

There is also a great blog by this Australian guy for BAs & PMs - its called Better Projects.  ;-)  I highly recommend it.

Here is a selected list of other blogs of interest to business systems analyst:

  • BA Rocks - a blog about a business analyst's challenges and issues
  • Business Analysis 101 - this is a relatively new blog but Linda seems to be doing a great job in providing substantive content.
  • BA Insight - this is a blog by Kevin Brennan who is in charge of BABOK for the IIBA.  I highly recommend adding his blog to your reading list of you are trying to stay on top of the BABOK.
  • Jonathan Babcock's Blog on Business Analysis has great content for BAs.
  • Writing Use Cases - is a blog on Resources for Business Analysts by Geri Schneider Winters

There are others out there but these are some that came to mind in a jiffy.

But beyond the buzzwords, these two concepts are powerful tools to drive clarity, consistency, and quality in our work. Definition of Ready ensures a user story is truly ready for development. It answers: Is this story clear, feasible...
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful projects aren't just built on great code—they're built on clarity. And that clarity often comes from one key player: the Business Analyst. At the heart of every great product or system is a need—a business goal, a customer pain point, or a regulatory requirement. But busines...
I have always loved cooking. I learned from my Grandma June and her kitchen was her sanctuary, a small, warm sunlit space filled with jars of spices, stacks of cookbooks, and the comforting smell of something always on the stove or baking in the oven. Grandma June was as great a cook as she was a teacher to me. She never followed a recipe “to...
