Re: I want to move back to BA
Hi TshegoP, First off, one of the key roles that a Business Analyst plays is to work closely with the test team, validate the test cases ( sometimes, even write the initial test cases against the requirements), and help with the UAT. So, depending upon the maturity of the product/application, the Business Analyst will have to involve himself/herself heavily into Test activities. So, Fear not. Your exposure in Test team will definetley be an asset as you gravitate towards a profile in Business Analysis. Next, you may need to figure out if there are possible opportunities in BA within your company... If yes, go ahead and do some groundwork on the application and also set up a meeting with the Project/Program Manager and emphasize your BA skills. perhaps, some kind of gap analysis document/ as is/to be diagrams will come in very handy. This is much more demonstrative of your interests than a mail indicating how interested you are to pursue a BA role. my two cents.. All the best.
