Scope column against each user requirement

Hello,

I am a new business analyst working in a organization. This Org has a template for BRD and it states to put down the scope for each requirement. I am not sure how to proceed with the same. Can someone help me how to go about it.

Example user requirements:

1) The System will provide the User1 a security enabled access.

2)The system shall allow the User1 to select which study he would be running the edit checks on.

I cant figure out what scope to put against each one of them

Thanks in advance

Re: Scope column against each user requirement

Hi Raj,

Don't write your scope per requirement. Instead write your scope for all the requirements for the system. The scope should define what the system is, and what it is not. Also include your assumptions regarding the development, and also the constraints to the development.

Remember, never be a slave to the template. Delete the sections from the template that don't apply to what you're doing. Don't just include something because the template says so.

Hope this helps

Re: Scope column against each user requirement

If you ID the inputs to a behaviorl  requirement and the outputs from behavioral requirement, you have identified the scope of the requirement.   Basically, you are creating a Context Diagram on that single requirement.
