Business analyst/PM in Apparel/Design world
I wanted to ask for some advice from you. I am a currently working with a startup who are into apparel and design. The minute I got there I realised there was not a BRD so I suggested we create one. The problem is my manager does not like the format of the way the BRD is written . She wants it done differently. I have tried time and time again to explain to her that the templates just give direction which helps to shape the projects which are being recorded but she does not seem to understand. I would appreciate some advice from you. Thanks

I think you should take your own advice. A template is a starting point. You don't have to conform to any specific template.  Ask your manager which pieces of information she disagrees with capturing and why. If you feel it's important to capture a particular piece that she disagrees with, state your case with some rationale.  But ultimately you need to create a structure that works for your environment.
